The teams
This is it, folks. The most anticipated game of the year. In one corner you have the Dallas Cowboys, with their star quarterback Tony Romo and all-pro running back Ezekiel Elliott. In the other corner, you have the New England Patriots, with their star quarterback Tom Brady and all-pro tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Who will win? No one knows for sure. All that's left to do now is watch and find out what happens next! Will the Cowboys take a big lead early in the game or will the Patriots fight back to tie or take a lead themselves? Will either team score in overtime or will this be a true test of patience as both teams wait until sudden death? Will these two great teams make history by trading leads, again and again, leading up to another wild finish like last year's Super Bowl when they traded blows for nearly seven full quarters before finally deciding it was time for overtime? It's hard to say who will come out on top, but one thing is certain: it will be an amazing match-up and it won't disappoint.
The history
Football has become one of the most popular sports in America. It started as a game played with a soccer ball and evolved into today's American football game. The first professional games were played on November 12, 1892, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since then it has grown to become one of America's favorite sports. Fans look forward to this Sunday when the New England Patriots face off against the Los Angeles Rams. If you're not sure who these teams are or what they are fighting for, don't worry - we'll be breaking down everything you need to know below! First, the New England Patriots: They are a team from Massachusetts that play their home games at Gillette Stadium. They have been very successful and won five Super Bowls so far, the last being back in 2017.
The hype
Football season has begun, and that means it's time to get ready for some of the best games in sports. This week alone, football fans will see three games between ranked opponents: Georgia Tech at Clemson on Monday night, Miami at Florida State on Saturday afternoon, and Texas A&M at Alabama on Saturday evening. Expect every game to be a nail-biter as all three are between the top 10 teams. In the first matchup, two elite ACC schools will go head-to-head in Clemson’s Memorial Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 8 pm EST. Ranked 3rd nationally and led by senior quarterback Kelly Bryant, Clemson should have no problem with 18th-ranked Georgia Tech who is coming off of an embarrassing loss last week against Syracuse University. However this matchup also features two powerhouse defenses - both are among the Top 5 defenses nationally - which may make this game low-scoring but still intense from start to finish.
The players
Everyone knows that when it comes to football, you can't go wrong with old-fashioned American football. There are many famous teams and players in this sport, such as the New England Patriots, Tom Brady, and Rob Gronkowski. But there is no question about who the best team in football is: Alabama Crimson Tide. This year's college football season has been a huge success for Alabama Crimson Tide; they have won all of their games so far, including a victory over rival Auburn Tigers. The Crimson Tide will play Georgia Bulldogs on Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. It will be an intense game, but there's no doubt that Alabama will come out victorious again.
The fans
You can always tell when football season has started. The crisp autumn air, the leaves falling from trees, and the smell of pumpkin spice lattes in every store you walk into. Autumn football is here, and I'm ready to get back out on the field with my team.
I can't wait for that first game. We've been practicing hard all summer and we're going to show everyone what we got this year.
